Help
The category corresponds to a equestrian competition's difficulty level.

An competition is made up of different events. Each event has its own level of difficulty. The total of all event difficulties in an competition will give the overall difficulty of the competition, and thus its category.

Only horses that have this category in this type of competition will be able to participate. In other words, the more a category increases, the higher level the horses must have to register in it.

Each type of competition puts into play one or several of your horse's specialties: galloping, trotting, dressage, etc. This is indicated on the page for each type of competition.

Your horse's category for a type of competition is determined simply by its level in the specialties in question.

However, do note: if a type of competition takes several of your horse's specialties into account, they will not all necessarily be weighted in the same way to calculate your horse's category. One speciality may be weighted two or three times more than another, for example.

Each competition's category depends on the difficulty of the events that make up the competition. The more difficult they are, the higher the category of the competition will be.

Your horse can only participate in equestrian competitions corresponding to its category in each type of competition, as to avoid horses with mixed levels competing against one another in an competition.

Your horse's category for each type of competition is updated in real time when you play with it. Consequently, the more you progress your horse and increase its level in its specialities for a certain type of competition, the more its category in this type of competition will increase as well.

The results of the horses in the equestrian competitions are determined by:
- the horse's level in the specialty or specialities that are taken into consideration in this type of competition (the level that could increase due to participation in the competition, depending on the horse's place);
- the horse's state (health and/or energy, mood, cleanliness, etc.).

You can find the detail of the specialties and other characteristics taken into account on each type of competition's page. The better these are, the better your horse's results will be.

Last but not least, hazard is also part of the competitions, which gives them charm and originality! Hazard will always play a somewhat important role in the results.
