*Ranks*

Lead Stallion (one for each herd): Is the most dominate horse of the herd. He helps his mate, the Lead Mare, make decisions and then carries them out. Any horse who disrespects him risks being kicked out of the herd. He keeps the Herd in line. The Lead Stallion can have other mates within the herd. The Lead Stallion chooses who the Lead Mare will be.

Lead Mare (one for each herd): Co-leads alongside the Lead Stallion and is his mate. She makes most decisions for the herd. She is also the most dominate mare in the herd. Any horse who disrespects her risks being kicked out of the herd.

Beta Stallion (one for each herd): He is the Lead Stallion's right-hand man. He is often a good friend of the Lead Stallion and it's his job to protect him when need-be. If the Lead Stallion were to die he would become the Lead Stallion. The Beta Mare is his mate.

Beta Mare (one for each herd): She is the Lead Mare's right-hand man. She is often a good friend of the Lead Mare and it's her job to protect the Lead Mare when need-be. If the Lead Mare and Lead Stallion were to die she would become Lead Mare. Her mate is the Beta Stallion.

Delta Stallion (one for each herd): The Delta Stallion's job is to scout the Herd's territory for danger. He helps inforce rules when need-be. If the Beta Stallion were to die or become the Lead Stallion he'd become the Beta Stallion. His mate is the Delta Mare.

Delta Mare (one for each herd): She helps her mate scout the Herd's territory for danger. She helps inforce rules on the Herd when she has too. If the Beta Mare were to die or become the Lead Mare she'd become the Beta Mare. Her mate is the Delta Stallion.

Elders (unlimited): Are horses 15 years and older. They are well respected and often others will come to them for advise. They can be great story tellers and will often tell those stories to foals.

Lead Warrior (one for each herd): The Lead Warrior often appoints other warriors. The Lead Warrior is one of the strongest males in the Herd depending on the Lead Stallions, Beta male's and Delta male's strength. The Lead Warrior leads the other warriors under the Lead Stallion's and Lead Mare's commands. The Lead Warrior is always a Stallion.

Lead Healer (one for each herd): The Lead Healer often appoints other healers. The Lead Healer is often wise and knows where most healing herbs can be found. The Lead Healer leads the other healers under the Lead Stallion's and Lead Mare's commands. The Lead Healer is always a mare and often the are barren.

Warriors (unlimited): These are the main protectors of the Herd. They are lead by the Lead Warrior. They can be stallions, mares, or geldings. They can train yearlings if they want too.

Healers (unlimited): These are the main healers of the Herd. They are lead by the Lead Healer. They can be stallions, mares, or geldings. They can train Yearlings if they want too.

Birthmothers (unlimited): These mares help with birthing when need-be. They are often assisted by a Healer. They also watch over foals and yearlings when their mother can't

Unranked Members (unlimited): These are the lowest members of the herd, besides yearlings and foals. They are often picked on. Unranked Members are usually loners who have just joined the Herd, or yearlings who have failed training and are waiting for another chance. An Unranked Member can ask the Lead Stallion or Lead Mare to choose his or her next rank.

Yearlings (unlimited): Are foals 1 year to 1 year, 11 months. Once they turn 2 years they will move on to their next rank. While they are yearlings, they are still called colts and fillies. They can choose a rank they want to be and then train for that rank. If they fail their training they risk becoming Unranked at their 2 year old ceremony of adulthood.

Foals (unlimited): Are any colts and fillies under 1 year. They are constantly watched by their mother or Birthing Mares. They have no responsibility and all they do is play.

Loners (must have more herd members): Are horses that aren't in a herd or were kicked out of one. They can join the Herd at anytime.

Rouges (Must have more herd members): Are horses that aren't in a herd or were kicked out of one, but they are against the Herd and will try to hurt anyone in it. Sometimes Rouge stallions will try to steal mares or yearling fillies from the Herd.

Bachelor Herd stallions (Must have more herd members): Are stallions in a herd group. There is only one of these in the area. They are on constant lookout for mares. They're are no mares in a Bachelor Herd, and often no Geldings.

Predators (Must have more horses): Are animals that hunt horses or other animals (mountain lions, bears, eagles...etc)
